MUNICIPAL SYMPHONIC BAND OF LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA: '¿A QUIÉN LE IMPORTA?' (SPAIN, GRAN CANARIA)

The song ¿A Quién le Importa? [Who cares?], by the band Alaska y Dinarama, which was a huge hit when it was released among ‘80s young people because of its rebellious lyrics that opposed social prejudices of the time, gives its name to the LPGC Municipal Symphonic Band’s show.

The ensemble, who comes to the Festival for the third consecutive year with a new proposal that renews their program, takes the liberty of playing some of the songs that have left their mark, even after their 30-year presence, and still prevail nowadays. Themes that withstand the passing of time and still manage to draw a nostalgic smile in those who listen to them. Antonio Flores, Alejandro Sanz, George Michael, Antonio Vega or Luz Casal are some of the artists that will be remembered. The concert, that counted on the work of a group of arrangers for the translation of the songs to the language of the band, will be completed with the voices of Gran-Canarian singers Tania Gil and Samuel Guedes.
